Notice the cool cruiser whitewall tires - but, the back rim is bent worse than I figured, the brake caliper springs are too fatigued, and one of the tubes is leaking air from its valve stem. Fortunately I can clean and replace the valve stem (the tubes are used but they're the thick thorn- resistant type that are best), replace the brake calipers with the ones from that Landrider, and MAYBE hammer out the bent rim. If not, I can use the wheels from the Landrider as well, but they're not as good quality as the KHS' original wheels.
The good news is: I think the Auto-Shift derailleur is going to work fine. Everything lines up perfectly and it makes happy noises when I spin the cranks. Now that the chain is on!
